Local accessible journeys
Appointments, shopping, visits and social occasions around Warwick and nearby communities, planned with boarding in mind.

Wheelchair-accessible transport
Accessible vehicles arranged subject to requirements and availability, with the wheelchair position, seating and boarding arrangements confirmed before travel.
Overview
An accessible journey either works properly or it does not work at all. The vehicle has to suit the wheelchair, there has to be room for everyone travelling, and boarding at both ends has to be practical. Road Buddy Transport arranges wheelchair-accessible transport subject to requirements and availability.
That is why we ask a few straightforward questions before confirming anything. None of them are medical. They are simply the details needed to send the right vehicle to the right place.
Once we understand the journey, we confirm which vehicle is suitable and what it will cost. Nothing is booked until that has been agreed with you.
Journey types
Appointments, shopping, visits and social occasions around Warwick and nearby communities, planned with boarding in mind.
Pre-arranged appointment journeys where access at the entrance and a sensible arrival time both matter.
Accessible transfers to and from UK airports, arranged well ahead because the vehicle is committed for the whole journey.
Travel beyond Warwickshire where an accessible vehicle is needed for the full route, subject to availability.
Regular accessible journeys to an education setting, arranged as part of a planned route.
Weddings, celebrations and family gatherings where a companion travels alongside the passenger.
Vehicles and access
Passenger capacity can change when wheelchair space is required. A vehicle that seats several passengers with the floor clear may seat noticeably fewer once a wheelchair is secured in position, and the appropriate vehicle must therefore be confirmed before travel.
Vehicle selection is based on the wheelchair position, passenger numbers, luggage and access requirements. The suitable vehicle is confirmed before travel.
What we ask for
We ask only for the information needed to send a suitable vehicle. We do not ask for a diagnosis, and you should not send medical or safeguarding information through the booking form. A telephone call is the right place for anything detailed.
If we cannot cover a journey with a suitable accessible vehicle on the date you need, we will say so directly.
How booking works
Send your journey details and we will confirm availability and provide a price. Your journey is not booked until it has been confirmed directly by Road Buddy Transport.
Use the booking request form, WhatsApp, email or a phone call to tell us where and when you need to travel.
Passenger numbers, luggage, mobility equipment and any assistance needed all affect which vehicle is suitable.
We check availability for your date and time and reply with a price for that specific journey.
The journey is arranged once you have agreed the details and we have confirmed it back to you.
Every journey is priced individually, based on the route, timing, passenger numbers and any accessibility requirements.
Questions
Accessible vehicles are arranged subject to requirements and availability, so early notice makes a real difference. We will tell you clearly whether we can cover your date and time rather than leave it uncertain.
Whether the passenger will travel seated in the wheelchair, and the general type and size of chair — for example a manual folding chair or a larger powered chair. We do not need a medical diagnosis.
That depends on the vehicle and the wheelchair position. Passenger capacity reduces when wheelchair space is required, so tell us how many are travelling and we will confirm what is realistic before the day.
Yes, companions can travel where there is seating available in the vehicle allocated. Include them in the passenger numbers when you send your details.
Tell us about boarding or access considerations at either end — a kerb, a slope, a narrow driveway, a limited waiting area — and we will plan around them. Where journey support is needed, a passenger assistant can be arranged if agreed in advance.
Yes, subject to requirements and availability. Longer accessible journeys need as much notice as possible because the vehicle is committed for the whole trip.
