Regular termly routes
The same journey each school day through a term, with agreed collection and return times for the family and the setting.

School transport
Planned journeys between home and school or college, arranged around the passenger, the route and the timings that work for the family and the setting.
Overview
School journeys work when they are predictable. The same collection point, a realistic time, a driver who understands the route and a family who knows exactly what has been agreed. Road Buddy Transport can discuss planned home-to-school journeys, regular termly routes and individual passenger requirements.
We plan these arrangements properly before they start. That means talking through the address, the setting, the days and times, how many passengers travel and whether any assistance is needed, so the arrangement is workable from the first morning rather than adjusted week by week.
Eligibility and council-funded travel assistance are determined by the relevant local authority. We are not part of that decision. If you are enquiring privately, or a school or authority is looking for a provider, we are happy to discuss what is possible.
Journey types
The same journey each school day through a term, with agreed collection and return times for the family and the setting.
A journey arranged for one passenger, where the route and timings are built around that person rather than a shared run.
Journeys where more than one passenger travels the same route, using a 6 or 8-seater vehicle where suitable and agreed.
Journeys to further-education settings, including timetables that vary between days of the week.
Cover for part of a term, a change of address, or a short period when the usual arrangement is not available.
Morning-only or afternoon-only journeys where the family covers the other leg themselves.
Vehicles and access
Vehicle choice depends on how many passengers travel, the route and any equipment carried. 4, 6 and 8-seater options are available, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles can be arranged subject to requirements and availability.
Where a wheelchair space is required, the number of passenger seats reduces. Bags, instruments, sports kit and mobility equipment also take room. We confirm the suitable vehicle with you before the arrangement begins.
Please read
Please do not ask us to accept diagnoses, detailed medical information or safeguarding information through the website form. Those conversations belong on the telephone or in a properly arranged discussion with the family, school or authority involved.
Road Buddy Transport does not decide whether a passenger qualifies for council-funded travel assistance. That decision rests with the relevant local authority, and we would always encourage families to speak to them directly about entitlement.
We describe only what we can genuinely provide: a planned journey, an agreed vehicle, a route understood in advance and a passenger assistant where that has been arranged.
How booking works
Send your journey details and we will confirm availability and provide a price. Your journey is not booked until it has been confirmed directly by Road Buddy Transport.
Use the booking request form, WhatsApp, email or a phone call to tell us where and when you need to travel.
Passenger numbers, luggage, mobility equipment and any assistance needed all affect which vehicle is suitable.
We check availability for your date and time and reply with a price for that specific journey.
The journey is arranged once you have agreed the details and we have confirmed it back to you.
Every journey is priced individually, based on the route, timing, passenger numbers and any accessibility requirements.
Questions
Send us the collection address, the school or setting, the days and times required and the number of passengers travelling. We will reply about availability and price for that route. Nothing is confirmed until we confirm it back to you.
No. Eligibility and council-funded travel assistance are determined by the relevant local authority. We can talk to you about arranging a journey, but decisions about funding and entitlement are not ours to make.
Consistency is something we aim for and will discuss with you when planning a route, but we do not promise a guaranteed named driver for every journey.
A passenger assistant can be arranged where it is required and agreed in advance. It is not automatically included on every journey, so please raise it when you first make contact.
Please do not submit diagnoses, detailed medical information or safeguarding information through the public form. Call us instead if the journey needs that level of discussion.
Yes, temporary and short-term arrangements can be discussed alongside full termly routes. Tell us the dates you need and we will check availability.
