Vehicle Options for Every Road Buddy Journey

4, 6 and 8-seater vehicles plus wheelchair-accessible options, matched to your passengers, luggage and access requirements before the day of travel.

How to read this page

Capacity is always confirmed before travel

Seat numbers describe the maximum a vehicle type can carry when nothing else is competing for the space. In practice, luggage, mobility equipment and wheelchair positioning all reduce passenger capacity, which is why we agree the vehicle with you rather than leave it to chance on the morning.

Vehicle selection is based on passenger numbers, luggage, mobility equipment and access requirements. We confirm the suitable vehicle for the journey before travel.

6-seater vehicles

More room for families and small groups, or for passengers carrying more than a saloon boot will take. Useful where comfort over a longer route matters as much as seat count.

  • Shared school or activity routes

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles

Arranged subject to requirements and availability, with the wheelchair position and remaining seating confirmed before travel. We ask about the chair and boarding, never a diagnosis.

Typical uses

  • Passengers travelling seated in a wheelchair
  • Appointment and hospital journeys
  • Accessible airport transfers
  • Regular accessible school or activity routes

Luggage, mobility equipment and wheelchair positioning can reduce passenger capacity. The suitable vehicle is confirmed before travel.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I request a specific vehicle size?

Yes. Tell us the size you would like when you send your journey details and we will confirm whether it is available for that date and time.

Why does the seat count reduce?

Because luggage, mobility equipment and wheelchair positioning all take space that would otherwise be a seat. A stated maximum only applies when nothing else is competing for that room.

Do you list vehicle makes and models?

This page describes vehicle options by capacity and use. The suitable vehicle is confirmed for each journey.

How much luggage fits in a 4-seater?

It varies with the vehicle allocated, so tell us the number and size of cases. If a saloon is tight, we will suggest a larger vehicle rather than hope it fits on the day.

Can an accessible vehicle carry other passengers too?

Usually some, but fewer than the same vehicle with the floor clear. We confirm the realistic number with you before travel.
